This is the first of a quarterly show here on our mainstage. It’s a special series City Arts Magazine (formerly Sound Magazine) does called the Song Show. Throughout the last year, the Song Show has introduced its audiences to many of the most compelling songwriters in the Northwest. Hosted by Mark Baumgarten, City Arts Executive Editor, the Song Show features interviews and unique solo performances that offer music fans a rare, intimate look at the process of songwriting, the stories that inspire the music, and the artists that create the songs. Through its regular performances, and the high quality footage hosted online by City Arts, the Song Show has introduced a growing audience to the unyielding talents and inner-workings of a diverse group of artists including Joshua Morrison, Fatal Lucciauno, Star Anna, Kind of Like Spitting’s Ben Barnett, Common Market’s RA Scion, the Lonely Forest’s John van Deusen and many more.
This inaugural edition features an all-star cast of talented local musicians: Jesse Sykes, Damien Jurado, Macklemore and Tomo Nakayama.
